Wisdom teeth! Everyone has either heard about wisdom teeth problems or had their own experience of reoccurring episodes of pain and infections requiring emergency dental visits and antibiotics.
Wisdom teeth are the third molars that erupt in your mouth usually between the age groups of late teens and early twenties. Occasionally there is not enough space for these wisdom teeth to come through in your mouth causing various problems such as infections, swelling and pain in the gums while they are erupting and may lead to recurrent infections.
According to a study nearly 152,000 people have their wisdom teeth removed in England alone each year excluding the patients having treatments privately or abroad.
