Your Patient Journey

Journey Icon

First Treatment Visit
An emergency appointment includes an assessment of the area, and X-rays and antibiotics (if needed). We may carry out a temporary treatment such as a filling. The priority is to relieve any pain you are feeling.

If further treatment is needed, this will be charged in addition to your emergency appointment. We may request that you come back in for follow-up appointments, especially if complex treatment is required, so more time will need to be allocated, depending on the treatment required, to address the source of the pain and/or assess the root cause of the problem.

Second Treatment Visit
If further treatment is deemed necessary depending on the urgency, we will allocate a follow-up appointment within the next few days, with the relevant dentist and allocate enough time for the treatment to be administered. A treatment plan will be explained to you in detail prior to any treatment commencing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Counts As a Dental Emergency?

Intense pain that’s stopping you from going about your normal day (accompanied by swelling and bleeding) is a reason to contact us for an emergency appointment. If you have knocked or dislodged a tooth, time is of the essence as we may be able to fix your tooth back in place. If a tooth has been knocked out, place the tooth in milk (do not abrasively scrub, brush or clean the tooth and call us immediately.

If your breathing is impacted, or you have hit your head, do not contact us – contact 999 right away.

What Doesn’t Count As a Dental Emergency?

Non-emergencies include chipping a tooth and dislodging a filling or crown. We often receive emergency calls for these concerns, but rest assured, unless accompanied by extreme pain, these do not warrant a same-day emergency slot.

If you’re still unsure if your condition warrants an emergency slot, please contact us – it’s always better to have peace of mind either way.

What Time Is Best To Contact The Practice?

Please call us as soon as possible in the morning if you are experiencing pain or discomfort, appointments are available daily but are allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. If you are in pain and we have no appointments left for the day we may ask you to come in and wait.

We will aim to see you as soon as we can but we ask that you kindly be patient as other patients have allocated appointments and we need to be respectful to all our patients. If the problem is not urgent, we may ask you to come and see us within the next two days.

What Are The Olive Tree Dental Opening Hours?

Mon-Wed-Thu: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm (Late evenings)
Fri-Sat: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (We are open Saturdays)

We offer early morning, late evening, and weekend appointments to try to accommodate our patients, especially those who are committed to set working hours throughout the week.

What Is The Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme?

Should you suffer a dental emergency, as one of our practice plan members, you can request help from the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme, which responds on a discretionary basis. Patients can seek the help of any dentist within a 15-mile radius away from Olive Tree Dental, and are reimbursed a portion of their emergency fee. The Scheme Manager will assess each case individually; in the majority of cases, approximately 80% of your fee is reimbursed, though we cannot state an exact amount as it is discretionary.

The Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme has been set up to offer discretionary support and assistance to Olive Tree Dental Plan patients who request treatment following a Dental Trauma and / or dental emergency or diagnosis of Oral Cancer.

Providing you are part of one of our Membership Plans, you will have the opportunity to claim back certain treatment costs providing it has been in a Dental Trauma and/or dental emergency or diagnosis of Oral Cancer. The Scheme is a wholly discretionary scheme, not an insured scheme. It is funded by our Dental Plan Administrator to pay Benefits at the sole and absolute discretion of the Scheme Manager, so if you are unsure about what treatments are covered, please ask a member of our team prior to undergoing the treatment required.

I have been going to olive tree dental now, for about a year and a half. The service is always so friendly and they really help you make the best decision when it comes to your teeth. I have had Invisalign treatment with Patricia, which was exceptional. The regular hygienist appointments and general check ups are also very good, and the parking around the dentist is excellent. I would highly recommend going here.read more

From the first step through the door it felt far removed from the standard clinical feel of any dentist I had been to previously. Not only are the offices beautifully decorated and the staff welcoming and friendly but the resulting impression from my first appointment was one of confidence instead of fear. Dr Zyada was very thorough in her checks and took the time to go through each and every tooth to explain exactly what needed to be done and why. It makes the return appointment a lot less daunting, thank you. Would definitely recommend Olive Tree Dental.read more

The team at Olive Tree Dental are great! My dentist was very thorough and took the time to patiently explain her findings and what would be required for future visits. Like most people I don't enjoy going to the dentist, but the team made it as comfortable as possible. The rooms were really clean too!read more

Olive Tree Dental are a fantastic dental practice. All of their staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was given an appointment here with Smile White UK teeth whitening and the dentist was lovely! She was great at advising me in detail how to use the teeth whitening for my teeth, as they are particularly sensitive. I would definitely recommend them.read more

I went to Olive Tree Dental Clinic few times for teeth cleaning, emergency dental work and consultations. The clinic was very clean and inviting, stuff was very friendly and dentist was very gentle and reassuring. I appreciated the fact that she was communicating with me during the procedures so I wasn’t wondering what’s going on or when it will finish. I’ve been to quite a few dental clinics previously but never felt as valued and welcomed, and never got such high quality dental service. Highly recommend it to anyone and especially to those who feel nervous and anxious when visiting dentist. I feel lucky to live nearby!read more
