First Treatment Visit
If you are a new patient to Olive Tree Dental, a new patient exam is carried out first to ensure you are dentally fit for the treatment. Decay, infections, or gum disease will need to be treated prior to cosmetic dental treatment such as teeth whitening.
A comprehensive assessment is then undertaken. Digital scans are taken to obtain measurements of your teeth, which will be used to create the whitening trays.

Second Treatment Visit
Your whitening trays are now ready, and you can take home the whitening gel provided as part of the Boutique package. The gel provided will depend on your level of tooth sensitivity. The gels are used overnight for 10-14 days, depending on the strength used and the desired result.
Third Treatment Visit (review)
Your review is when your dentist can determine if your tooth shade has reached the pre-agreed shade discussed during your consultation. We can provide additional whitening gel if your teeth have not yet reached the desired shade and discuss other treatment options if you are interested in further enhancing your smile.
Patient Promise
There is no guaranteed shade with Boutique whitening as there is with Enlighten™ , though it is a clinically proven treatment with high patient satisfaction. We recommend top-ups every few months to maintain the results.
We will demonstrate how to apply the whitening gel to the trays before treatment begins. It’s a super easy and hassle-free process. If you’re at all unsure how to apply the gel once you get home, please don’t hesitate to contact the practice – we can point you in the direction of helpful tutorials and videos and talk you through them if you wish.
Once the gel is applied, it becomes oxidised, breaking down the staining bonds, and scattering the molecules. Once these bonds are scattered, your teeth appear whiter in shade, with a more pleasing and natural-looking shade having been revealed.
