The Wand can be used for all routine dental treatments including crowns, fillings, periodontal treatments and root canals.
As The Wand technology is designed to remove any anxiety associated with injections, it’s generally associated with a discomfort free procedure and our patients have given us positive feedback and said it isn’t painful at all.
Often the pain caused by injections with traditional syringes is created by the anaesthetic being delivered too quickly or with too much pressure / force behind it. The Wand eliminates these factors by using an automated flow rate of anaesthetic at a controlled pressure for a comfortable delivery. .
Not only this, but The Wand also delivers a more targeted injection, so your lips and tongue needn’t be numb for hours after your visit to the dentist. Using a sensor-controlled probe that numbs only the tooth being treated. The process is known as STA (Single Tooth Anesthesia).
Most commonly, dental phobia is born out of a negative experience with the dentist in the past. Once we have demonstrated to you that you are in competent, safe, and experienced hands, we’re sure you will feel more confident about dentist visits going forward. The Wand has really helped many of our patients overcome their fears of injections, and they have felt that the treatment itself is, therefore, associated with a much more pleasant experience.
Our in-practice surgeries are equipped with The Wand machine and unlike other practices, we do not charge any extra for the system to our patients. This is an extension of our commitment to further supporting our nervous and dental phobic patients.
