Parents were given advice on how to help their children with their oral health and learnt tips about how to make brushing your teeth a healthy bonding experience (not just a boring routine) between parents / carers and their little ones.
Olive Tree Dental visited children and their parents in Green Park Nursery to share their knowledge on the best way to look after their little and big teeth.
Children practised brushing their teeth on a large educational tooth model, and the lead dentist, Dr Ash Zyada, showed the kids the best way to make sure each tooth was being brushed properly.
Brushing teeth correctly can prevent children from experiencing unwanted dental issues in the future. As a family-friendly dentist, we offer check-ups and treatments for your child in a fun and relaxing atmosphere so the whole family will leave the dentist smiling.
Many parents were surprised about the sugar content in many drinks they offered their children. Fruit juice, fizzy drinks and fruit squash all contain a large amount of sugar unless you choose the sugar-free alternatives. We highly recommend you choose soft drinks that have no added sugar and no artificial colourings so the little ones don’t get stained teeth from a young age.
Awareness is key, which is why we like to visit nurseries and schools in the local community and provide lots of useful tips to help parents and children maintain healthy teeth and gums.
