This lady has been a long-time patient of Dr. Ash since 2022, she had previously opted for porcelain-bonded crowns. While they functioned well, a recent checkup led to a decision to change to EMAX porcelain crowns for a more natural look. There was also consideration of a veneer for the UR1 tooth to match the others this was discussed; however the patient didn’t want to proceed with this, as it wasn’t bothering her.
Dr. Ash recommended replacing the crowns on UR1, UL1 , UL2 entirely to avoid a noticeable difference in shade. To help the patient visualize the final result, temporary acrylic crowns were created before committing to permanent ones. This gave the patient time to consider the aesthetics prior to committing to this treatment.
Delighted with the outcome, the patient appreciated the significantly more natural colour achieved. Dr. Ash crafted a personalized treatment plan, and bespoke crowns ensuring the new outcome blended seamlessly with the gum line. They collaboratively selected the most natural-looking shade for a perfect match. The patient is much happier and
