Any child who attends as a patient of Olive Tree Dental who is not on an Olive Tree Membership Plan (or whose parents are not on a membership) pays the “pay as you go prices” as per the Children’s Fee Guide.
Any child 10 years old and above can be on a Mini Picholine Olive Tree Membership without their parents and will access the complimentary hygiene & examination after being on the membership plan for at least 3 months.
Children aged 9 and under can be added to a parent/carer membership and will receive various complementary treatments based on the parent/carer’s membership tier; however, they do not then get the full benefits they would gain if on a separate “Mini Oli Membership ” or be able to take advantage of the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme.
The “Mini Picholine” applies to 10–17-year-olds. Treatments on adult teeth are charged at adult fees.
In the meantime, if a child/children have an emergency and are 10 or above, they can claim a portion of the fee back on the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme* (providing they are on a Mini Picholine Membership Plan). The same applies if a child is 9 and under and is on the Mini Oli Membership.
If a dentist assesses your child and feels like hygiene is not suitable for your child due to any periodontal issues or otherwise, they will advise you that hygiene is not suitable and, therefore, this treatment will not be administered. We kindly ask that you trust the dentist is acting in your child’s best interest. No other alternative treatment may be offered.
If a parent is a member and would like to use the membership benefits and book their child for an initial new patient exam, the first 3 membership fees need to be processed before they book their child for an appointment. This payment is taken on the 8th of every month, so if a parent was to join the plan in January, the child appointment could then be booked for their first child exam after March 8th.
In exceptional circumstances where a carer has the responsibility of multiple children (under 10 or over 10), a tailored plan can be arranged so that the children are on a mini picholine membership on an annual basis despite their age depending on the nature of treatment that will be required, for further information please enquire within.
Every parent who is on either Picholine, Castelvetrano, or Cerignola Membership can benefit from the family addition that is relevant to the membership they are on. Every parent who is on any of our corporate membership plans, Tier 1 – 3, can also benefit from the family addition that is relevant to the tier they have selected.
A parent can add One child 9 years old or younger to benefit from 2 child exams annually, or 2 children 9 years old or younger can be added to a membership benefiting from one child exam each annually. The decision on how to utilise the benefits to suit her family’s needs is up to the discretion of the parent.
*A 30% discount will only be applied after the initial examination & hygiene have been completed and the patient has been added to a parent/carer membership and is deemed dentally fit.
Family additions cannot be carried over to the following year when renewing a 12-month contract. The family addition benefits apply to a 12-month term only.
